Meet The Doctors

Karishma Chopra, DDS

Dr. Karishma Chopra graduated from NYU School of Dentistry and completed her residency at the Hackensack University Medical Center. She received her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University and holds a provisional patent for a medical device. Dr. Chopra is an artist, a singer, master chef and official family party planner. She met her husband in a college acapella group and together they have two beautiful children. One day she hopes to meld her love of dentistry, engineering and artistry to create innovations in the field of Dentistry.

Kashfia Vohra, DDS

Dr. Kashfia Vohra graduated from NYU School of Dentistry and completed her residency at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, NJ. Dr. Vohra attended Rutgers University where she graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences and Psychology. She is a published author in the field of Behavioral Psychology and Genetics. Dr. Vohra continued her studies at UMDNJ and received her Master’s in Biological Sciences before attending dentistry school. Dr. Vohra loves to travel and discover new restaurants with her husband and play with their recently adopted puppy, Obi-Wan.

Radha Nayak, DDS

Dr. Radha Nayak completed her undergraduate studies in Biomedical Engineering at The College of New Jersey. She then pursued her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at New York University College of Dentistry . Upon graduation, Dr. Nayak completed her General Practice Residency (GPR) at BronxCare Hospital which provided advanced training in all aspects of dentistry. Dr. Nayak is passionate about staying current with the latest advancements in dentistry and regularly attends continuing education courses to ensure her patients receive the highest standard of care. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and exploring new cuisine

Mel has worked in the dental field for over 20 years, with experience that ranges from Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to Office Manager. She’s always appreciated being able to help patients understand their treatment and utilize their insurance benefits. The best thing about her job is working with talented doctors and a caring staff who help their patients achieve healthy and beautiful smiles they can be proud of. When Mel is not at work, she loves to spend time with her husband; they are both avid curlers and certified instructors.

Healthcare has always had a special place in my heart. My mother dedicated her entire career to special needs patients and my father is a chemist and entrepreneur. I believe I have the best combination of both of their spirits because I am passionate about my patients and determined to always better myself. Dentistry was introduced to me in high school by a very special teacher who also got me my first dental assisting job. She encouraged me to pursue dental hygiene and the rest is history. I am a lover of all things dental and am also eager to continue my education and improve my skills to provide the best care for my patients. When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my husband, two children, and the world’s cutest puppy!

I feel so blessed to be a part of this dental practice for almost 25 years, and could not imagine a better or more positive working environment. I respect the knowledge, kindness, and excellent skill of our doctors that enables us to provide the best dental care possible. It is very gratifying for me as a hygienist, to give care to my patients in a calm and caring atmosphere where their comfort and wellbeing is the main concern. I love making patients feel at ease by building confidence, trust and friendship with each appointment. I am extremely devoted to educating patients on their individual needs. The most rewarding part of my job is seeing results in my patients, as their oral and overall health improves.

I attended Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA and graduated the dental hygiene program in 2020. I am passionate about educating my patients about their oral health and how to take care of it. I enjoy learning all of the new advances in dentistry and products that are out there that can help my patients. I look forward going back to school so I can further my education. Outside of work, I find ways to relax and take care of my daughter Sofia.

Working alongside great doctors for over 15 years has given me an opportunity to learn and grow as an assistant. I enjoy working with implants, as well as with general dental procedures. I mostly enjoy how our office has the ability to make working fun and always giving patients the best treatment possible. Outside the practice, I enjoy spending time with my husband and welcoming our new baby boy.

From the moment I greet a patient on the phone to wishing them well at the end of their visit, I find it greatly rewarding to be working in the dental field. With 8 years of experience, I’m happy to bring my patient experience skills to the caring environment of Kind Dental. In my free time, I like to spend days at the park with my daughter and my “fur baby” Brownie, the miniature goldendoodle.
